Australia Women on Tuesday, 14 November named their squad for the upcoming India tour, scheduled for December 2023 and January 2024. While the Cricket Australia named the tour of the multi-format series in India, the cricket board is still mulling over Meg Lanning’s successor.

It is to be noted that Lanning announced retirement from international cricket this month only. However, she has been out for some time now due to injury concerns, Alyssa Healy has led the Australia Women across formats. While announcing the squad earlier today, Cricket Australia (CA) said that the skipper will be named soon.

“Following Meg Lanning’s retirement from international cricket, an ongoing captain will be announced ahead of the tour,” CA wrote in a post on X.

The multi-format tour is set to commence from December 21 with only Test match at the Wankhede Stadium, followed by three-match ODI and T20I series in Mumbai.
