Novak Djokovic beats Stefanos Tsitsipas to clinch the 2023 Australian Open men's singles title. With this victory, the Serbian Superman has now won 22 Grand Slams joining Rafael Nadal to be the only two male players to achieve this feat. This is also Djokovic's 10th Australian Open title after winning the slam for the first time in 2008
Talking about the final, Djokovic registered a 6-3, 7-6(7-4), 7-6(7-5) victory in straight-sets to defeat his Greek counterpart. The Serbian kicked off the finale with a dominant performance as he has been throughout the tournament. Tsitsipas looked out of sorts and folded early to lose the first set.

The Greece international started off the second set on the front foot and even managed to get under Djoker's skin. But couldn't maintain the lead and eventually lost in the tie-breaker. Something similar happened in the final set as Djokovic clinched the title in his record 22nd Grand Slam title.
In the trophy presentation, Djokovic had some praiseful words for Tsitsipas and told him how he will sooner rather than later get on the top of the tennis world. He said, "Good evening, I have to say I am touched by Stefanos’ words. Thanks for being so kind and respectful. I congratulate you on an amazing tournament. This is definitely not your last grand slam. You have lots of time, more than me. I still think you are very interesting."
Djokovic further had a message for young tennis players coming from a small country which doesn't have a tennis tradition and stated that you must continue to dream and work hard to achieve what you desire.
He said, "We are small countries that don’t have a tennis tradition. The message for any young tennis player around the world who is dreaming of being where Stefanos and I are: dream big. It doesn’t matter where you are coming from."
