Formula 1 is back with another race weekend, this time in Azerbaijan. Defending champion Max Verstappen finished at the top of the podium in the last race which was held in Melbourne, Australia. Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso were the other two drivers to finish on the podium standing second and third respectively. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held across the weekend of 28–30 April 2023. It will be the fourth round of the 2023 Formula 1 World Championship, meanwhile it will be the first of six in the season to follow the sprint format. 


Talking about the drivers’ standing so far, Max Verstappen is in the top spot heading into the weekend with 69 points, followed by Sergio Pérez at second place with 54 points and Fernando Alonso in third place with 45 points. Aston Martin and Mercedes are in second and third place in the Constructors' Championship, respectively with 65 and 56 points, and Red Bull Racing leads with 123 points.
