Pakistan were brilliant in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. While they were unbeaten in the Super 12 round of the match, they did not go down without a fight against Australia in the semifinal. The Men in Green in fact dominated large portions of the match only to come second-best on the night, facing a five-wicket defeat to bow out of the tournament. The loss has broken the hearts of the Pakistani fans but an eight-year-old fan's heartfelt letter has won over the internet.

The handwritten note was shared by journalist Alina Shigri on Twitter and the fan who wrote it was identified as Mohammad Haroon Suria. "Well played everyone, nice batting, bowling," the young boy wrote saying that he loves Azam. The boy also mentioned Babar's jersey number at the top of the page and asked for the autographs of all the players of the team in his letter.

In his own innocent way, the child described Pakistan's roller coaster of a match in the knockout game against the Aussies. He said that while he thought the team would win first, he was nervous in the middle.

"I will make sure to invite all of your team to my team. We will go to the finals and win," he wrote in the concluding lines of the letter. He even said that irrespective of the win or defeat, "we still love you."

"From a future captain to current captain @babarazam258," Journalist Shigri captioned the post containing a picture of this note.

Here is the tweet:

"Dear Mohammad Haroon Suria, Salam, Thank you for such a kind letter for us, champion. I ABSOLUTELY believe in you and you can achieve anything with your focus, belief, and hard work. You will get your autographs but I cant wait to get YOUR autograph future Captain," Babar responded to the letter.

Meanwhile, Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali also broke his silence after having a poor day on the field in the do-or-die match. Not only did he concede 44 runs in 4 overs but also dropped the catch of Matthew Wade who smashed three successive sixes to finish of the match post getting a second life.

The 27-year-old wrote that no one was more disappointed than him.
