After winning the first Test of the series by 188 runs, the Men in Blue are all set to take on Bangladesh in the second Test, which is set to commence on 22 December 2022. While the Men in Blue were without their skipper in Rohit Sharma, the side has been handed another major blow.
Stand-in skipper in KL Rahul injured himself during the net session a day prior to the start of the second Test. Rahul took a blow to his hand while batting in the nets earlier today. However, no major injury struck the opening batter as confirmed by Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour.

“It doesn’t (look serious),” Rathour said in the pre-match press conference. “He seems to be fine. Hopefully he’ll be okay. The doctors are looking at it, but hopefully he’ll be okay.”
KL Rahul suffered this blow to his hand as Rathour delivered throwdowns in the nets. The 30-year-old was later seen rubbing the injured area and was later attended by the team doctor.
However, if KL Rahul misses the second Test against Bangladesh, Cheteshwar Pujara is likely to lead the side for the final match.
India squad for 2nd Test: KL Rahul (C), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara (VC), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (WK), KS Bharat (WK), Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Saurabh Kumar, Jaydev Unadkat
