Analysis:

The Indian team had a disappointing outing in Dhaka during the first ODI as they couldn’t score runs and also failed to pick wickets to clinch the game. The struggles of the top order continued but this time the reliable middle order also failed to fire. KL Rahul emerged as the only batter to score over 25 runs. Similarly, the bowlers brought India back into the game but couldn’t finish off the tale which eventually cost them the game.

On the other hand, Bangladesh had an incredible showing in front of a packed Sher-e-Bangla stadium. Their bowlers led by Shakib Al Hasan ran through the Indian batting order and restricted them to a below-par score. But like the Indians, their batting also struggled until all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz carried them over the finish line.
