The Bangladesh Cricket board have recently clinched the T20 series by defeating Pakistan 2-1 in the three-match series. They managed to continue their winning form in the T20s as they managed to earn back to back victories against Pakistan And Sri Lanka in the shortest format of the game. However, Bangladesh Cricket team are now worried about their players as their fast pacer Taskin Ahmed is set to undergo a legal investigation for violence. Taskin Ahmed was recently a part of the T20 squad against Pakistan.
The fast-bowler is undergoing investigation for reportedly beating up his friend in Dhaka and giving threats to him. According to reports, Taskin has fled away from the scene as his phone was unreachable when the police tried to contact him as it was switched off. According to reports from Portamaloo, the complaint against the Bangladeshi cricketer stated that he had met his friend named Sifatur Rahman Sourav. The Bangladesh Cricket Board is set to investigate this matter. They also stated that it would be unfortunate if Taskin is guilty as the character of cricketers is deeply observed by the society.

According to reports from Cricbuzz, the Chairman of BCB Media Iftekhar Ahmed released a statement on this incident. He stated, "We are planning to hold a short workshop with national cricketers in August as we feel we must remind them what they can do and what they cannot considering they are not only cricketers rather they are also idols of many youngsters and are being followed by them so they have some accountability towards their fans."
His statement indicated the power of influence that cricketers hold. If they don't use their popularity properly it can affect the generations to come in a negative manner. This is the reason why they are organising the workshop for all cricketers to train them to refrain from such activities and be positive examples towards the society.
