Bangladesh, one of the rising nations in cricket, have been a regular feature in the ODI World Cup in the 21st century. The Tigers made their first-ever appearance in the quadrennial event in 1999, and since then, they have been a part of six tournaments in a row.

The first win for Bangladesh in the World Cup came against Scotland in 1999, and in the same tournament, they managed to defeat their big rivals Pakistan too. Over the last two decades or so, they have achieved a lot of massive wins in this cricketing spectacle, turning over the likes of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, and South Africa, to become a formidable nation in the sport as of right now.

The best finish for Bangladesh in the World Cup came during the 2015 edition in Australia and New Zealand, where they were able to reach the quarter final stage.

For the ODI World Cup 2023, Bangladesh have qualified after an impressive show in the ICC ODI Super League. The Tigers are slated to take part in nine matches in the tournament across multiple Indian cities this October and November.
