Baroda cricketer Deepak Hooda who currently represents Rajasthan in the domestic circuit may return to his original state after the conclusion of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Reports have suggested that Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) is in touch with Hooda and has proposed his comeback to the side. Notably, Hooda had changed his state after a spat with Krunal Pandya.

The all-rounder had a verbal spat with captain Pandya ahead of his state’s matches in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last year. Hooda had alleged Pandya of using foul language against him and also threatening him about his future with the team. However, things have changed since then as the two cricketers play alongside each other in IPL for Lucknow Super Giants. And therefore, the BCA has asked Hooda to return to the state.

A BCA official talked to the Indian Express in regards to this matter and revealed that the state board is in contact with the all-rounder. “Whatever has happened, has happened. We are trying to convince Hooda to come back and play for Baroda again. He too has now patched up with Krunal, so there is no reason left for not coming back to Baroda. We had already expressed our interest in him and it will be his decision. We are hoping that he agrees to it,” said the BCA official.

After sharing the field with Krunal Pandya while playing for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Hooda looked comfortable around the latter. The two were seen celebrating each other’s success on many occasions. Hooda even called Pandya his brother and said everything is normal between the two.

“Krunal Pandya is like my brother, and brothers do fight. We are playing with one aim, which is to win games for LSG,” Hooda had told Dainik Jagran in an interview during IPL.
