Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s iconic maximum to Pakistan’s Haris Rauf in T20 World Cup has given birth to a new rivalry in the history of the India vs Pakistan clash. While Kohli notched up the thrilling win for Men in Blue by hitting two back-to-back sixes off Haris Rauf in the second last over, the Pakistan pacer has recently admitted that he wishes to take Virat Kohli’s wicket.
In a video shared via Pakistan Super League franchise Lahore Qalandars, Rauf made an interesting revelation that he wishes to take Babar Azam and Virat Kohli’s wicket. As Rauf expressed his wish to Peshawar Zalmi’s skipper Babar Azam during a practice session, both the Pakistan cricketers busted into laughter.
“No matter what happens. I just need to take your wicket! Only Kohli and you are the exceptions right now. Williamson was saved from slips twice. But I have these two to three players in my mind,” Haris told Babar.
Meanwhile, Babar came up with a witty reply as he asked his mate, ‘You already got me in the practice session. Why don’t you consider that one?’ In reply, Rauf said that he wishes to take Babar’s wicket in the match. “God does well with all,” Babar said in conclusion.
Earlier, Rauf claimed that Kohli did play those shots against him, but he cannot do it again as such shots are very rare. “Anyone who knows cricket knows what sort of player he is. He has played that shot now. I don’t think he can do that again. Such shots are quite rare, you can’t hit them again and again. His timing was perfect and it went for a six,” Haris said on the show ‘Hasna Mana Hain’ back in December.
