PUBG mobile is relaunching in India as Battlegrounds Mobile India, months after it was banned because of tensions between India and China. PUBG mobile’s parent company Krafton recently announced that PUBG mobile is being relaunched in India with an exclusive version, under the name ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’. After the official announcement, a teaser was released, confirming the news. A logo and a teaser for the game were uploaded on their official YouTube channel.

An exclusive website has also been set up for the new game along with its own social media handles. Krafton had earlier assured everyone that they were working on something specifically developed and serviced for India ever since the game was banned last year in September 2020, which had its largest market in India with over 175M downloads.

PUBG’s parent company Krafton has created an exclusive website for ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’ which will cater to all the services and provide all the official details, updates about the game. As of now, the website displays the game’s Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and a poster that says ‘Coming Soon'.

The developers of the game have removed all the posts from PUBG India’s Instagram and Facebook handles. The social media handles have also been renamed ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’.

The Privacy Policy of the game is given on the official website of Battlegrounds Mobile India. The policy has three categories

  • Information collected directly from you.
  • Information collected automatically.
  • Information collected from third parties.

“Your personal information will be stored and processed on servers located in India and Singapore. However, we may transfer your data to other countries and/or regions to operate the game service and/or to meet legal requirements. In the event of transfer to another country or region, we will take steps to ensure that your information receives the same level of protection as if it remained in India." reads the International Data Transfer section of the Privacy Policy.
