For the first time in his career, five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has been making headlines for all the reasons except his game this season. Reportedly, the Portuguese captain and his agent Jorge Mendes held talks with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich last week before the 37-year-old striker delivered a bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.

After finishing the 2021 season as Manchester United's top goal scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo has desired to leave the Old Trafford club at the beginning of this season, however, the Premier League club didn't let him go. Later, Ronaldo believed that he received a disappointing treatment from the club and its new manager Erik ten Hag.

Following the issues faced by the Portuguese star at Manchester United, Cristiano exposed the Red Devils' owners and its management in an interview with Piers Morgan on Sunday. Ronaldo told Morgan that he feels disrespected and betrayed by Manchester United.

Ronaldo and Jorge Mendes held talks with Bayern Munich

According to Daily Mail, Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes held talks with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich's officials in England last week for a potential winter transfer.

In July, Bayern Munich chief executive Oliver Khan confirmed that they had received a transfer interest from Ronaldo and his agent, but terminated the deal saying that the Portuguese star did not fit into the club’s ‘philosophy’.

However, the German club have rekindled their interest for Ronaldo following concerns over the fitness of Sadio Mane, who replaced Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich in the 2022 summer.
