Eric Dier, the Bayern Munich defender, is reportedly in advanced talks to be a part of French club Monaco in the summer transfer window, to kick-start the next journey in his professional career. Since the 31-year-old’s current deal with Bayern Munich is set to expire at the end of the season, he is looking to move elsewhere with him not expected to re-sign with the German club.

As per the report from BBC Sport, Eric Dier and Monaco are talking about an initial three-year contract, with an option of extending it a further 12 months, and it is expected that they will finalise the deal in the coming weeks. Notably, Eric Dier is all but set to become Bundesliga champion with Bayern Munich, who have a commanding lead in the standings with just a handful of matches in the league season remaining.

Eric Dier could win first major trophy of his career at Bayern Munich this season

After joining Bayern Munich on loan in January 2024, Eric Dier became a permanent fixture of the club in the summer, and he has made 25 appearances for them in all competitions in the 2024-25 season. If Bayern Munich manage to get at least two points in the last three matches of the Bundesliga season, then they will be crowned as the new champions ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, who won the title last season.

Eric Dier, who was a part of Tottenham Hotspur for years, hasn’t won a major trophy in his career just like Harry Kane, who also arrived to Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur two seasons ago. Dier and Kane will be hoping that the German club will play to their best level at the end of the ongoing Bundesliga season, to fulfill their destiny of winning a major trophy for the first-time ever as professional footballer.
