Amid Bernardo Silva's heavy transfer rumours to Barcelona, Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has terminated all the speculations regarding his transfer by claiming that the 28-year-old will stay at the Premier League defending champions.

Earlier, reports suggested that Man City midfielder or winger Bernardo Silva was interested to play for the Spanish giants Barcelona. Guardiola, however, put an end to the discussion with his latest take on the matter.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano took to his Twitter account and wrote, "Pep Guardiola announces Bernardo Silva won’t leave City despite Barça interest: 'Bernardo Silva will stay at Man City, there are no negotiations. We don’t have any phone call from any club regarding Bernardo Silva'."

In the Premier League 2022-23, defending champions Manchester City have won their opening two fixtures and played a 3-3 draw with Newcastle United on August 21. City are on second place behind toppers Arsenal in the league standings.

Manchester City will next face Crystal Palace in a home game on Saturday. Meanwhile, the UEFA has announced the Champions League 2022-23 group stage draw and City are placed in the Group G with the likes of Spanish club Sevilla, Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and FC Copenhagen.
