India’s rivalry with Pakistan goes back decades. Ever since the two nations got separated, they have managed bitter-sweet relations, both on political grounds and on the cricket field. There have been so many stories of the players of India and Pakistan going neck-to-neck against each other. However, Sohail Khan, a right-arm fast bowler has narrated an unheard tale that involves former India captain Virat Kohli. Sohail has revealed how a young Kohli tried to sledge him and what the Pakistan pacer replied to Kohli. 

Sohail revealed that as he came to bat after Pakistan lost five wickets, Kohli tried to get under his skin by taunting the pacer for his statements in the media. Sohail then added that he went to Kohli a few balls later and reminded the Indian batter that when he was still playing U19, the Pakistani pacer had already played Test cricket. 

"Beta jab aap U19 khel rhe the tab tera baap Test cricketer tha (S on, when you were playing for India U19, I was playing Test cricket for Pakistan)", Sohail Khan revealed on Nadir Ali's podcast .

It's worth mentioning that Sohail Khan made his Test debut in 2009, while Virat Kohli made his international debut in 2008. However, Sohail had made his ODI debut by the time Virat Kohli first played an international game of cricket. 

Talking about Sohail’s stint with the Pakistan cricket team, the right-arm pacer has played 9 Tests, 13 ODIs, and 5 T20Is wherein he has picked 27 wickets, 19 wickets, and 5 wickets respectively. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has played 104 Tests, 271 ODIs, and 115 T20Is so far in his career.
