Though the date of the launch is yet to be confirmed, according to the Times of India, the game is tipped to make a comeback in the country on June 18. KRAFTON released an official statement for BGMI, which said, “BGMI servers will be unavailable for a while to come up with a better and bigger experience. While we are working to give you a seamless experience, your account will be safe and your progress till now will be retained. We will keep you informed with further developments and the release dates through our social media platforms.”
On the other hand, Rajeev Chandrashekhar, the Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India took to Twitter to announce that the BGMI game will be first available for three months. During this period, the Indian authorities will keep a close check on BGMI, regarding its addiction and effects on the users. If the game violates any rules set by the government, it could be banned again.
In the upcoming changes, the game will reportedly be available for a few hours in the day, and the users won’t be allowed to engage with it for 24 hours, as it has some restrictions for hours of playing. Not only this, but the government has also asked the company to make some more changes to make it less addictive so that there are no reports of suicides. However, the official announcements are yet to be made and will have to see what all changes it comes with.
