Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) made a return after its 10-month-long ban just months ago, and the game has seen an upward trend in its already high popularity with the arrival of new updates and competitive tournaments like BGIS and BGMS. The game has also collaborated with many stars, and another collaboration with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya is set to be released in the coming weeks.
Hinting at the collaboration, BGMI posted a 33 numbered BGMI helmet, which is Hardik Pandya’s jersey number, on what looked like a cricket stadium with a cricket bat caption. According to leaks, Hardik Pandya’s voice is going to be integrated into the game for in-game communication.
A number of well-known YouTubers and streamers already have voice packs available on BGMI, including Naman "Mortal" Mathur, Jonathan "Jonathan" Jude Amaral, Payal "Payal" Dhare, Abhijeet "Ghatak" Harishchandra Andhare, Raj "Snax" Varma, Asarudheen "Vaadhiyaar," Tanmay "Scout," and many others. Pandya will be the first cricketer to feature in the game and could pave the way for his other teammates too.
Krafton further hinted at Hardik Pandya's collaboration with the game in its recent BGMI Ki Boli Challenge video, where players need to find BGMI Easter eggs. In the video, Krafton gave a sign of Hardik Pandya’s jersey number, “HP33” with voice commands in Gujarati, “Aava De,” which is the official song of Pandya’s IPL side, Gujarat Titans, and means ‘bring it on’.
Krafton has also officially announced that Ranveer Singh has been named the official Brand Ambassador for BGMI. The star duo of Ranveer Singh and Hardik Pandya could take BGMI’s popularity to a whole new level. The BGMS and BGIS tournaments have also made the competitive BGMI scene in India more vibrant, with the tournaments being telecasted live on TV.
