Battlegrounds Mobile India Master Series (BGMS) has entered its final stage after the action-packed three weeks. The first televised e-sports tournament in the country, BGMS have 16 finalist teams to compete for the winning price of ₹75 lakh from July 13 to July 17.

The 16 teams to qualify for the grand finals are Team XO, Orangutan, Chemin Esports, Skylightz Gaming, OR Esports, Team GODLike, Team iNSANE Esports, Enigma Gaming, Nigma Galaxy, Team SouL, Blind Esports, 8Bit, Team Enigma Forever, Revenant Esports, FS Esports, and Global Esports.

A total of 20 matches would be played in the grand finals that began on Wednesday, July 13 with four matches to be played each day across three different maps.

BGMS Finals Day 1: Match Summary

Match 1:

Team SouL, GODLike, Orangutan, and Global Esports were the finalists, while the starting three made it to the final circle of the game 1 on the Erangel map. SouL and GODL entered the final circle with full strength squad while Orangutan had two gamers left in the final circle.

Orangutan claimed the winner winner chicken dinner (WWCD), followed by Team SouL and GODLike. However, SouL took the first place with 22 points and GODL (21), and Orangutan (21) claimed the second and third place, respectively. SouL Goblin was named the MVP.

Match 2:

The second game of the BGMS finals was played on the Sanhok map with Team XO and Chemin Esports were the finalists. Team XO claimed the chicken dinner and also the first place with 29 points.

The second-placed Chemin Esports (16) were followed by Skylightz Gaming (13), and Team Enigma Forever (12) on the third and fourth place respectively. Team XO's SENSEI was the MVP of the match.

Match 3:

Team GODLike continued their consistent performance in the third match on the Miramar map by claiming the WWCD and first place with 27 points. Jonathan won the MVP accolade.

GODL were followed by Team Enigma Forever (22), Orangutan (16), and Chemin Esports (13) on the second, third and fourth place.

Match 4:

The final circle of the match 4, which was played on the Erangle map, featured Enigma Gaming, Global Esports, and Team GODL. Global Esports claimed the chicken dinner and the first place with 27 points while Joker was the MVP of the match.

Enigma Gaming (18), Team GODL (15), and Team iNSANE Esports (13) finished on the top four positions.

Overall Standings:

After the four matches on Day 1 of BGMS 2022 grand finals, Team GODLike emerged as the table toppers with 68 points. Global Esports also displayed a consistent performance throughout the Day 1 to claim the second spot in the overall rankings.

Orangutan and Team SouL are placed on the third and the fourth place, respectively. With 16 more matches are left to play, it is difficult to predict the winner of the money-rich esports tournament.

Nodwin Gaming has organized the BGMS 2022 by inviting top 24 Indian teams to Delhi to compete for a handsome amount of ₹1.5 crore. Eight teams, including Team Xspark, Rivalry Esports, Marcos Gaming, 7Sea Esports, R Esports, TSM, Hyderabad Hydras and Hydra Esports were unable to qualify.
