The BGMI Masters Series, India's largest esports competition, has been announced to mark its return by NODWIN Gaming. Season 2 of the BGMI Masters Series, which is set to begin on August 4, builds on the success of season 1, will include 24 teams and offer one of the greatest prize purse of INR 2.1 Crore for a non-publisher competition. The winning teams from the open qualifier, in which anyone in India can compete, will compete for the remaining 10 seats. Of the 24 teams, 14 esports teams will be invited directly.
The BGMI Masters Series' first season's (2022) television broadcast was a success, with more than 36 million viewers throughout the competition. The second season of the BGMI Masters Series will be televised on Star Sports in Hindi, English, and Tamil. By connecting core esports with viewers from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, NODWIN Gaming and Star Sports hope to make esports content more accessible and alluring to a wider audience.
The Masters Series 2022 digital broadcast outperformed the television broadcasts in terms of viewership, surpassing the 100 million mark and breaking previous records for Indian esports. NODWIN Gaming has announced its agreement with Rooter as the competition's digital broadcasting partner for the forthcoming BGMI Masters Series Season 2.
