Indian middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav played yet another crucial innings in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 as he rescued India from a dangerous situation against South Africa and contributed with 68 runs in 40 deliveries. His innings included three maximums and six boundaries guiding India to a competitive 133/9 after India opted to bat.

This was the second consecutive fifty for Suryakumar Yadav as he earlier played similar innings against the Netherlands. While Suryakumar put India in a competitive position in a high-stake game against South Africa, Arfa Feroz Zake, a sports journalist from Pakistan founds himself at the receiving end for comparing Suryakumar with Pakistan's Umar Akmal. In a tweet, Zake stated that Suryakumar Yadav is indeed a 2.0 version of Umar Akmal.

"Umar Akmal was so ahead of his time in 2010. Suryakumar Yadav is indeed a 2.0 version of Umar Akmal," tweeted the Pakistan journalist. Minutes after the tweet was posted, not just Indian cricket fans, but even Pakistan cricket fans schooled the so-called journalist for making an absurd comparison of SKY with Umar Akmal.
