Adelaide Strikers have finally found their lost momentum as they have registered two consecutive wins in their last two games. After four back-to-back defeats, the Strikers beat Hobart Hurricanes to get back to winning ways. Meanwhile, Melbourne Stars reel at the bottom of the points table with seven defeats in nine games played. The Adam Zampa-led team have just not got going and will be under the pump once again.

Pitch Report

The Melbourne pitch is one of the best cricketing pitches in the world. It offers the right balance between the bat and the ball. While bowlers get to exploit the bigger boundaries and the bounce on the pitch, batters can hit through the line.

Team Analysis

Melbourne Stars

Adam Zampa-led Melbourne Stars have looked clueless in this edition of the Big Bash League. The Stars have managed to win only two games out of the nine played. They have suffered defeats in all three games they have played in 2023. In their last game, against Hobart Hurricanes could not score a good total and the opposition chased it with ease. Hilton Cartwright did score a half-century but he got little support from others. Meanwhile, in bowling, Liam Hatcher and Nathan Coulter-Nile bagged three and two wickets each but to only see the Hurricanes chase down the total with 14 balls to spare.
