The match, however, restarted after about 30 minutes. The bomb blast took place near the police headquarters and entrance of Quetta Cantonment, which is near the Bigut Stadium. Further reports also stated a public outburst outside the stadium was also a reason for the halt as fans arrived was more than the capacity of Bugti Stadium.

This was caused by mismanagement outside the stadium and hence a group of spectators protest outside Bugti Stadium by setting up a fire and throwing stones. Videos of smoke in the stadium were also seen all the over internet which is also among the multiple reasons leading to the halt.
