The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) announced the Indian squad led by Rohit Sharma for the T20 World Cup 2022. But reacting to the team announcement, former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin expressed that he was astonished at the non-selection of some star players for the 2022 ICC World Cup in Australia in October-November this year.
Azharuddin said that he was 'surprised' to see the names of Mohammed Shami and Shreyas Iyer missing from the 15-man list shared by the apex cricket board on Monday. He tweeted "Surprised at the omission of Shreyas Iyer and Md. Shami from the main squad." But Azharuddin's tweet did not go down well with the Netizens, who heavily trolled the former stylish right-hander for his comment.

Surprised at the omission of Yusuf Pathan and Stuart Binny from the main squad. They played brilliantly against SL-L.

India squad for T20 World Cup:Shreyas doesn't bowl while Hooda does - intriguing though he didn't bowl much at Asia Cup. Harshal is a T20 specialist, could even play ahead of Bhuvi since he is very effective in the death which has been an issue with Bhuvi of late. Not sure about your call on this Azhar.
