Top-order batter KL Rahul continues to disappoint with the bat as he added yet another poor performance in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. The 30-year-old had a forgettable outing against Pakistan and the Netherlands, but the batter got much-needed backing from the team management considering just two cheap dismissals.
After Rohit Sharma got dismissed early reducing the team's total to 23/1 in 4.2 overs against South Africa on Sunday evening, the onus was on KL Rahul and Virat Kohli to provide a solid foundation to the team. However, KL failed once again as he was caught by Aiden Markram in the 5th over of the innings. Rahul could only manage to add 9-runs on the board in 14 deliveries.
Poor batting from KL Rahul prompted several Indian cricket fans to express their anger with the batter as the social media platform was flooded with tweets criticizing KL for his poor form.
