When Mumbai Indians play Chennai Super Kings, cricket fans always expect some drama and thrill. And last night, there was no shortage of that. The match is also known as "El Clasico" of IPL because of both the teams' rivalry and success. It was a high scoring thriller when the teams met on Saturday. And courtesy Kieron Pollard's spectacular knock, MI needed just 2 runs on the last ball while chasing 218 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

Everyone's focus was on Pollard who was on strike for the last ball but former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg noticed the non-striker. When Lungi Ngidi was about to bowl the decisive ball of the match, Dhawal Kulkarni, who was at the non-striker's end, backed up at least 3 steps even before the ball left the bowler's hand. Responding to this incident, Hogg wrote on his Twitter handle - "Sorry again for my harp. Last night last ball 2 runs needed and the non-striker again taking advantage. Is this in the spirit of the game.”?

Pollard's One-Man Show

Despite being aware of the batting power of Mumbai Indians, Super Kings would have felt confident after putting 218 on board with the help of Ambati Rayudu's unbeaten 72 with a strike rate of 266.66. Moeen and Faf also contributed with their half-centuries. But the night truly belonged to Kieron Pollard who single-handedly dismantled the opposition. After taking 2 wickets in the first half, he thrashed Chennai bowlers all over the park, scoring a match-winning 87 off 34 balls, taking MI to a memorable win. After the match, Mumbai stand 4th on the points table with 8 points while CSK remain top of the table.
