In a tragic incident, a cricketer named Vikas Negi died after suffering a heart attack while batting for Mavericks XI against Blazing Bulls in a match in India. Footage showed how he suddenly collapsed in the middle of the pitch after walking up to his striking partner Umesh Kumar to congratulate him for hitting a four.

Seconds after Vikas Negi touched bats with Umesh Kumar, the 34-year-old dropped to his knees, which left his fellow cricketers, the umpires, and spectators in shock. Some players rushed to the aid of Vikas Negi, attempting to perform CPR to revive him.
It was later reported that Vikas Negi was held up in a seating position before he was rushed to the nearby hospital in a car. But tragically, when he arrived at the hospital, he was pronounced dead. Before Vikas Negi collapsed, he had got seven runs in six balls with the scorecard for Mavericks XI reading 143 runs for five wickets in 13.5 overs.

The match continued live on YouTube with the Mavericks XI finishing up their innings after scoring 183 for nine wickets in 19.2 overs, setting up a target of 184 runs for the Blazing Bulls. But when the news of Vikas Negi’s untimely death came through, the match between Mavericks XI and Blazing Bulls during the S&B India Annual Cricket Tournament was abandoned.
