South Africa cricketer Chris Morris has announced his retirement from all forms of the game. The former RCB and Rajashtan Royals all-rounder took to Instagram to make the announcement. Morris will now be seen in a coaching role with the South African T20 side Titans.
Morris represented South Africa in 69 games across all formats and last played for his country in an ODI against Australia in 2019. Since then, the bowling all-rounder has been plying his trade in franchise leagues around the world. Notably, Morris became IPL’s most expensive player when Rajasthan Royals picked him in the IPL 2021 Auction for Rs 16.5 crore.
Morris wrote on social media, "Today I announce my retirement from all forms of cricket! Thanks to all who have played a part in my journey whether it be big or small…it’s been a fun ride! Delighted to be taking up a coaching role at Titans Cricket."

Chris Morris played 81 IPl matches, scoring 618 runs at an average of 22.07 and scalped 95 wickets. In the last season, he scalped 15 wickets and scored 67 runs in 11 matches for Rajasthan Royals. For South Africa, Morris played 4 Tests, 42 ODIs and 23 T20Is since making his debut in 2012.
