Brooks Koepka and wife Jena Sims welcomed their son Crew into the world on the 27th July. The couple announced the news on social media and shared a picture of Sims holding their son while Koepka looked at him. Despite the new addition to their family, Brooks is taking part at the LIV Golf Greenbrier in West Virginia. He teed off with teammates Graeme McDowell and Patrick Reed on the second hole at the Old White Golf Course on August 4, 2023.

The couple’s son, who is named Crew Sims Koepka, was born six weeks before expected through a C-Section. This meant that the couple’s plan for an elaborate baby shower had to be thrown out of the window, and the pair donated the funds for it to a local charity instead. Jena Sims was especially happy that her husband, who is very busy with his sport, was able to be there for the family at this moment.

She said, “He is already such an amazing father and partner, and I was so thankful he was home for this.” Crew is now home with his family after an extended stay at the hospital due to his premature birth.

Koepka says family is all that matters

After arriving in West Virginia for the tournament, the five-time major winner spoke about how happy he was that his son was out of the NICU at the hospital and that everyone was healthy and home.

Speaking about his family’s health he said, “That’s all that matters.”

Koepka also spoke about his experience of becoming a father, adding, “It's crazy. It's pretty wild, that’s for sure. It's definitely different. Love the little guy. Honestly, I can't wait to get back and see him.”

Koepka and Sims got married in June 2022 and announced in May 2023 that they were expecting their first child together.
