Bryan Mbeumo, a Cameroonian international who used to play for the Premier League club Brentford FC, recently sealed a deal with Manchester United. The 25-year-old, who signed for Brentford in the year 2019 for a club record fee of £6m, and went upto score a total of 20 goals and provide 9 assists, will now kickstart a new chapter at his dream team.

Bryan Mbeumo, on Tuesday, July 22, signed for Manchester United after weeks of negotiations. Mbeumo was clear of his stance and preferred Manchester United over any other club in the transfer window. Finally, United confirmed the signing of the 25-year-old for a transfer fee of £65m plus £5m additional add-ons. The Cameroonian has signed for the Red Devils on a contract which is valid until the year 2030. With this, Mbeumo is the second signing for Manchester United in this transfer window after they signed Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams: Bryan Mbeumo

Upon his arrival at the Old Trafford after signing the contract, Mbeumo spoke to club media in which he stated, “As soon as I knew there was a chance to join Manchester United, I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams; the team whose shirt I wore growing up”. Further he stated that he is very keen on developing under Ruben Amorim and play alongside the world-class players of Manchester United.

The Director of Football for Manchester United, Jason Wilcox stated that Mbeumo had a huge belief in their project and strong determination to join the club, which made the team realise that he could be the perfect signing for them. While speaking about the Cameroonian, Wilcox stated, “Bryan’s goals and assists record in the Premier League is exceptional, his remarkable consistency has put him amongst the most productive players in England for the last three seasons.” United will now be looking forward to forgetting the miserable season they had and turn the tables around with their huge signings.
