Call of Duty is reportedly set to appear at the Esports World Cup 2024, a first-of-its-kind tournament, which will go down in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this summer. It has already been confirmed that CS2, Rainbow Six, Rocket League, Fortinite, and more, will be appearing at the Esports World Cup, slated to begin from July 4 onwards.

As per the report from the Esports.net website, the Dataminers found references to COD Warzone and COD MW3 in the back end of the Esports World Cup website with details around dates and prize pools. But, there is a clause written in the Call of Duty League terms and conditions about the organisations not being able to compete in any tournament other than the CDL, which effectively puts them out of the reckoning to be a part of the Esports World Cup.

It has also been claimed that there will be a Call of Duty Warzone tournament worth $1 million and a Modern Warfare 3 event worth a whopping $1.8 million happening in the Esports World Cup. This will make the upcoming tournament more valuable to the competitors in comparison to the Call of Duty League World Championship.

There is a lot of interest among some of the best Call of Duty players to take part in the Esports World Cup 2024, but nothing is for certain at this stage. Moreover, the tournament, which is expected to have 20 events in 19 different video game titles, will continue for eight weeks after beginning on July 4, with the finals to take place on August 25.
