After a six-month-long injury layoff, Indian seamer Deepak Chahar made a sensational comeback in the first ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare as he was named the man of the match for his clinical performance. After the game, a few Zimbabwe female fans were in awe of Chahar's humble nature.

Deepak Chahar, who recovered from a hamstring injury that he sustained back in February, had picked up three wickets for 27 to receive the man of the match award as all his wickets came inside the powerplay.

After the game, Indian players including Deepak Chahar, Shubman Gill, and Axar Patel interacted with the fans. In a video uploaded by journalist Vimal Kumar, a few Zimbabwe female fans were seen asking Chahar's permission to take a picture with the star Indian bowler.

Zimbabwe fan asked Chahar, "Can I touch you?" and put her arm on his shoulder after getting the approval. On asking about their experience to meet Deepak Chahar, a fan said, "We are very happy, he was so humble and cute."

Chahar was left out of the Indian squad for the second ODI against Zimbabwe on Saturday. However, the Men in Blue managed to claim a five-wicket win over their opponents and secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series in Zimbabwe.

Team India will play the last match of the series on August 22 as the players including Deepak Hooda, KL Rahul will join the Indian side for the Asia Cup 2022 in UAE. Meanwhile, the Indian side has named Deepak Chahar, Axar Patel, and Shreyas Iyer as the standby players for the continental tournament.
