MS Dhoni brought luck back for CSK as the defending champions bagged their third win of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 46 of IPL 2022. CSK defended 202 runs and beat SRH by 13 runs to earn two more points in their ninth game of the season. However, it was not an easy game for Chennai as they dropped too many catches in the middle.
The MS Dhoni-led side dropped as many as four catches. Nonetheless, they had enough runs on the board to not let those dropped catches come to haunt them later. Although there will be talks about MS Dhoni's return as captain of CSK, it was the 182-run opening partnership between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway that set the game up for Chennai.
Gaikwad might have missed scoring a century by just one run but he will be a happy man seeing his side winning the game. Conway also impressed with his unbeaten 85. In bowling, Mukesh Choudhary took four important wickets to derail SRH's chase.
For SRH, Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson, Aiden Markram, and Nicholas Pooran showed some promise but, in the end, it was the second consecutive loss for SRH. With CSK registering their third victory of the season, Twitter users shared their emotions. Have a look at them here:
