It looks like that ‘The American Gangster’ genuinely dislikes John Cena. The UFC megastar has openly criticized Cena in the past. However, this time around, Sonnen took to his Twitter to reply to Cena.
Cena is known to inspire his followers with motivational tweets via his Twitter handle . The 16-time world champion recently took to his Twitter and wrote a message on ‘self-worth’. However, Sonnen replied and wrote that he will smash Cena over the head with the book he’s stealing the quotes from and using them in his tweet.
In his Tweet, Sonnen wrote, "I’d like to take that book you are getting all of these out of and smash you right over the head with it”
This is not the first time that ‘The Bad Guy’ took a shot on John Cena. Earlier this year, Sonnen was on The MMA Hour Show with Ariel Helwani and spoke his mind about the professional wrestler. During the interview, Sonnen confessed that he dislikes Cena because he has been using steroids and has been getting away with it for so long.
However, ‘The Leader of Cenation’ has never replied to Sonnen, regarding these allegations. But it looks like ‘The American Gangster’ genuinely dislikes WWE. In one of his recent videos, Sonnen commented that WWE is the scum of the earth .
Will John Cena return to WWE in the future?
John Cena flipped the wrestling world when he made his triumphant return at the Money in the Bank PPV in 2021.
The Peacemaker of Hollywood had a brilliant match with Roman Reigns at the SummerSlam PPV last year; however, ‘The Tribal Cheif’ emerged victorious and stopped Cena from breaking Ric Flair’s record of 16 World Championships.
Since his loss, he tagged with The Mysterios to take on The Bloodline in 2021. But that was it for Cena in 2021, he quickly went back to his Hollywood projects, and the WWE Universe is waiting for him ever since.
Till now, Cena has not announced anything related to pro wrestling, and is clear that he will stick to Hollywood for a while. If Cena does not return in 2022, it will be the first year for the wrestler-turned-actor to not appear in any WWE PPVs in a calendar year.
