The historic Test match between Pakistan and Australia proved to be a rather dull contest over the five days, ending in a disappointing draw. It was a flat deck in Rawalpindi which provided very little assistance to bowlers, with batsmen dominating the contest.

After Pakistan declared first innings on 476/4, Australia responded by putting 459 on board. With match done and dusted, heading towards a draw, the home side scored 252/0 in second innings. While it was a match to cherish for batters and one to forget for bowlers, there was one player who would have no memory of the Test in Rawalpindi i.e. Fawad Alam.

The 36-year-old notably became the first Pakistan player in 28 years (after Asif Mujtaba vs New Zealand) to go complete Test without batting, bowling or fielding over the course of 5 days.

Notably, Alam did get a chance to take one catch at gully to dismiss Usman Khawaja but he unfortunately squandered the opportunity by dropping the catch. However, the fans did not miss the chance to troll the experienced cricketer who got a rather unwanted record to his name.

While some fans felt bad for Alam for not getting a chance to bat on such a flat wicket, others hilariously termed it as 'dream job' for getting paid 7.6 lakh rupees for literally doing nothing.

Check out the reactions:

As the action now shifts to Karachi for 2nd Test, which is the home ground for Alam, the 36-year-old would be hoping to play a crucial role in that game. It is expected to be a much more competitive wicket at the venue and Alam might be required to score important runs for his side, batting lower down the order.
