Chennai Super Kings former player and current bowling coach Dwayne Bravo took a subtle dig at the Indian Premier League 2023 experts for their prediction of the top two teams for this season. Bravo posted a list of several cricket experts with their predictions of the team that will make it to the final of the season. With nobody taking CSK’s name, the former West Indies player took a dig at them for the same. On Saturday, Chennai Super Kings secured their berth in the playoffs of the season as they took down Delhi Capitals in their last league match of the season.

With the Yellow Army winning their last league match, they entered the qualifiers for a record 12th time, and as of now, no team has qualified for the playoffs for more than ten times. The former CSK star took it to his Instagram handle and took a jibe at the list which included names of experts like David Hussey, Mithali Raj, Sanjay Manjrekar, and stated that he feels the list was made on the April Fool's Day. He further wrote that the MS Dhoni-led side have made it to the playoffs 12 times, reached finals for nine times and won four titles. "I guess these predictions were made on April Fools Day @chennaiipl 12 times playoffs, 9 times in finals..4 trophies #RESPECT #RESPECT," the 39-year-old captioned the post.

Notably, Chennai Super Kings are all set to lock horns with the reigning champions, Gujarat Titans, in the first qualifier of the season on May 23, Tuesday. The Yellow Army sits on the second spot of the points table, with 17 points from eight wins in the season. In the IPL this year, CSK and GT clashed only once, during the season opener, which the Hardik Pandya side ended up winning. The team that wins the qualifier will directly enter the final of the IPL 2023.
