Several Indian stadiums get bomb threats

Not only Chepauk, several other stadiums in India have received a bomb threat along with Arun Jaitley Stadium and the Eden Gardens. Apart from that, Indore’s Holkar Stadium also received a threat via mail. The officials are working to trace the source of the threats. On May 9, the BCCI suspended the IPL for one week due to border tensions between India and Pakistan.

Notably, the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala was abondoned midway on May 8 and there was a complete blackout in the stadium. After that, all the players and the spectators were asked to leave the ground.

Now, as per the reports, the BCCI has shortlisted Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad to host the remaining 16 matches of IPL 2025 and the decision will be made on the resumption for the remainder of the season. As per the original schedule, the tournament was set to end on May 25 with final at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
