England is finally in Pakistan after 17-year-long wait. The Three Lions won the toss and opted to bat first. Although there were reports of the series being postponed by 24 hours after bomb blast and 14 players from the visitors'  team also contracted the virus.

However, all was put to rest when England decided that they can field XI and stated that the series will go as planned. While there was drama at the start of the first Test today (1 December), things did come out well as the match progressed. As the match started, the Pakistan players were hit with major blow as DRS was unavailable due to some reported technical glitch, but it was sorted later on.

Some even took a dig at the Rawalpindi pitch. One of the cricket reporters took to Twitter stating, “The last 100 overs of Test cricket at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium: 0/410”. To this tweet, several fans slammed Pakistan Cricket Board and Ramiz Raja when talking about the pitch.
