Former England forward and current DC United coach Wayne Rooney received Globe Soccer Player Career Award alongside AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Brazilian legend Romario in Dubai on Thursday. A video from the ceremony went viral, where the 37-year-old Rooney talked about his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo's bombshell interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.

Rooney said, " He’s (Ronaldo) a fantastic player. Him and Messi are probably the two best players to play the game. It’s not criticism, what I’ve said is age comes to all of us, Cristiano is finding it hard to deal with that."
