Former England forward and current DC United coach Wayne Rooney received Globe Soccer Player Career Award alongside AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Brazilian legend Romario in Dubai on Thursday. A video from the ceremony went viral, where the 37-year-old Rooney talked about his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo's bombshell interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who missed a few matches at Erik ten Hag's Manchester United, exposed the Premier League giants hours after the Red Devils' victory over Fulham. During an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo said he felt betrayed by the coach and the club.

A video has gone viral, where Wayne Rooney showed his class and maturity while talking about Cristiano Ronaldo's controversial interview with Piers Morgan. Rooney said, " He’s (Ronaldo) a fantastic player. Him and Messi are probably the two best players to play the game. It’s not criticism, what I’ve said is age comes to all of us, Cristiano is finding it hard to deal with that."

 Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portugal are placed in the Group H of the FIFA World Cup 2022 alongside Uruguay, Ghana and South Korea. Portugal will kick-start their World Cup campaign against Ghana on November 24.
