Personally for football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo it has been a good few days in football. While he broke the international goal-scoring record playing for Portugal, he scored in both his second Premier League and Champions League debut for Manchester United. However, currently the player is making the headlines for his kind gesture during Manchester United warm-up. Ronaldo was clicked while he went to check on a security guard whom he injured during the practice session. The pictures of Ronaldo's action have gone viral on the internet.

Ronaldo even seemingly exchanged a few words with the security guard and looked apologetic in his gesture towards him. He reportedly even gifted him his shirt. While his brace helped United seal a 4-1 win over Newcastle United in the Red Devils' most recent game in the Premier League, in their Champions League outing against Young Boys on Tuesday, they faced a shocking 2-1 defeat, that despite their talisman Ronaldo scoring for them in the first half.

United were down to 10 men after Aaron Wan-Bissaka's dangerous challenge on Christopher Martins earned him a straight red card in the first half. Despite that, United looked set to take at least one point from the match as Cameroon winger Moumi Ngamaleu had equalised early in the second half and the match had gone to the last minute of the stoppage time with the score levelled at 1-1.

However, a howler from Jesse Lingard, who tried to back pass the ball but gave it away to Young Boys' Theoson Siebatcheu who made no mistakes whatsoever and netted a winner for them, snatched a point from the Red Devils and made the result at the scoresheet at the final whistle read 2-1 in favour of the Young Boys.

After the goal which sealed the match in favour of Young Boys, the home fans initiated a loud and wild celebration. Questions have already started being raised on the visiting United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. In a shocking stat, United attempted just two shots at the opposition goal and both of them came from CR7. This was the fewest number of shots that United have registered in their 138 Champions League matches since the 2003-04 season.

Lingard was also subject to a lot of trolls and memes on social media with many suggesting that both Lingard and Solskjaer should be shown the door.
