Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t had a successful second stint at Manchester United. The Red Devils have been eliminated from tournaments like the Champions League, FA Cup, and EFL Cup. Similarly in the Premier League, they are placed seventh on the table with 14 wins and 51 points.

Recently Calciomercato journalist Stefano Benzi had reported that Ronaldo could leave his English Club and join Inter Miami in Major League Soccer. Benzi expressed how CR7 could replace Gonzalo Higuain and team up with former Red Devil David Beckham.

Manchester to Miami

While speaking on CMIT TV, Benzi said, “From my American correspondence, I learned that there’s already the replacement of Gonzalo Higuain who could be none other than Cristiano Ronaldo. There’s a lot of negotiations underway to bring him to MLS, it would be a welcome destination not only for the player, who would have been convinced to leave Europe.”

“There’s an important possibility of going to Miami with David Beckham, who has preferential channels with Manchester United. The Americans who manage the Red Devils would gladly get rid of Ronaldo’s salary.”

Benzi continued, “There is an important possibility of going to Miami with David Beckham who has preferential channels with Manchester United. The Americans who manage the Red Devils would gladly get rid of Ronaldo's engagement and United could invest him with the role of ambassador to the USA in a club of an old acquaintance ”.

Business of 50-60-70 million dollars a year: Benzi

The Italian journalist also talked about how this move could be perfect for the Portuguese international and his family. He also talked about how moving to the USA could also be beneficial for the 37-year-old from a business perspective.

“In the USA he would earn a lot, more as a testimonial than by playing football. It would be perfect for him, for his wife, for his children. Two years in America for Ronaldo are a business of 50-60-70 million dollars a year not to mention that in November he will make the world championship. He does the whole season with United, the MLS playoffs, then he would make the world championship and at that point, he will decide what to do, ” added Benzi.
