Sergio Santos Rodrigues, the President of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, has reportedly slept with referee Felipe Lima’s wife after he had favoured their rivals Clube Atletico Mineiro in 2022. Both these football clubs are two of the most prestigious ones in Brazil, located in Belo Horizonte, the capital city of Minas Gerais state.

On July 15, Saturday night, one of the footballing news agencies, named Football Talk, took to their official Twitter account to reveal the shocking news. They sourced the news from Leo Dias, one of the most well-known journalists from Brazil, who has had his fair share of controversial news in the past too.
Sometime later, Futmais, a football media and news company, shared the unexpected details regarding the matter involving the club President and match referee. Their tweet, translated from Portuguese, read, “The president of Cruzeiro, Sergio Santos Rodrigues, cheated on his wife with the wife of referee Felipe Fernandes Lima. One of the reasons for the betrayal with Tassiana Valim would be the representative's revolt with the way that Felipe Lima led the 2022 Campeonato Mineiro final. At the time, Atletico MG beat Cruzeiro by 3 to 1 and became champion.”

On April 3, 2022, the final of the Campeonato Mineiro was held at Estadio Governador Magalhaes Pinto in Belo Horizonte. It was a one-sided football match which was won by Atletico MG with a margin of 3-1, thanks to the two goals from Hulk and one goal from Ignacio Fernandez. Their opponents Cruzeiro got a consolation goal in the final minute, scored by Eduardo Nascimento da Silva Junior.
