CWG 2018 silver medallist pair of Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal defeated Donna Lobban and Cameron Pilley of Australia 2-0 to win the bronze medal for India in the mixed doubles event at the Commonwealth Games 2022.

The synergy of Pallikal and Ghosal got the better of their opponents as they won the bronze in straight games by 11-8, 11-4.

The Indian pair opened the game confidently to secure an 11-8 win over their Australian opponents in the first round. India continued their dominating run to beat Australia 11-4 in the second round to claim the bronze medal.

Earlier, the Indian pair suffered a 0-2 loss to New Zealand’s Joelle King and Paul Coll in the semifinals of the squash mixed doubles event at the CWG 2022. Saurav Ghosal beat James Willstrop of England to win a bronze medal in men's singles squash while Dipika Pallikal had to settle for bronze after losing 0-3 in the women's singles squash semifinals against Nicol Ann David of Malaysia.
