As India locked horns with Sri Lanka for 1st T20I in Lucknow on Thursday, it was indeed a treat to watch for the home fans as Men in Blue notched up a 100-run opening stand. While captain Rohit Sharma played a delightful knock at one end, it was young Ishan Kishan who stole the show as he returned to form in some style, following a disappointing series against West Indies.
The explosive wicket-keeper batsman was under lot of pressure coming into this contest, which was visible during his early part of innings. However, after a nervous start, Kishan got back into his rhythm and then produced an onslaught on Sri Lankan bowlers.
The 23-year-old started to find middle of his bat as he grew with confidence and he went on to complete a brilliant half-century off 30 balls only. There was sense of relief on face of the youngster while the team dug-out applauded his sensational knock.
As expected, the fans got berserk on social media and flooded Twitter with Kishan appreciation posts. While some claimed that he is David Warner in chhota packet, the others were delighted to see the young talented batsman back in his original explosive zone in Lucknow.
