Australia batter David Warner, known for his love and affection for India once again won fans’ hearts as he was seen chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Warner is in India to be a part of the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. Warner was seen donning a saffron scarf around his neck as he received a Ram Mandir miniature from his fans.
In a video doing rounds on social media, the 2023 World Cup winner was seen chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ while getting felicitated by fans. The video has been doing rounds on social media and is said to be an old video, before the start of the IPL 2024. Notably, Warner has time and again expressed his love and affection for India through his reels and social media posts.
Earlier in January, the Aussie posted a special message for Indian fans on the occasion of Ram Mandir's consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. The cricketer took to social media and shared a congratulatory message, which was accompanied by the ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chant. The post went viral on social media, where fans expressed gratitude to the Australian cricketer. Warner is a part of the Delhi Capitals’ star-studded lineup and will be expected to play remarkable knocks for his side in the IPL 2024.
The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League kick-started on March 22 with reigning champions Chennai Super Kings locking horns with Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and invited the hosts to field first. By the end of the 14th over, Bengaluru had lost five of their batters with 90 runs on board.
