A shocking news has hit the Delhi Capitals camp in Indian Premier League (IPL). Ahead of their match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals players’ cricket equipment  got stolen in an unexpected turn of events.  The news broke out on early hours of April 19, leaving everyone along with the DC players, management and support staff in shock. As reported by Indian Express, 16 bats, pads, shoes, thigh-pads and gloves were stolen from DC players kit bags after they returned from Bangalore.

“All of them were shocked when they heard that everyone had lost something or the other from the kit bags. This is the first time such an incident has happened and the matter was soon raised to the logistics department, police and later at the airport. The investigation is on,” a source in Delhi Capitals was quoted.

However the investigation is underway on the matter as reported. The DCP (Airport) Devesh Kumar Mahla told the Indian Express, “Our duty officer asked them to write a complaint with all the details and gave them a paper. They said that they would get all details and will file a complaint. Appropriate legal action would be taken.”

Talking about DC’s performance in the ongoing IPL 2023, the David Warner-led side is struggling to register their maiden win in the tournament. They have lost all their five matches in the cash-rich league so far and will now lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders on April 20 (Thursday) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
