margin-left:0.0000pt;mso-pagination:widow-orphan;mso-line-height-alt:12pt;"> The Board of control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday named the updated ODI squad for Bangladesh tour. In the same release, the Indian board also announced the India A squad for the two four-day matches, set to be played in December 2022.

While Ravindra Jadeja was one big name that was ruled out of the ODI squad after he failed to regain full fitness, Test cricketers Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav have been recalled in the India A squad. Among the other big names, Sanju Samson and Prithvi Shaw were once again left out by the board despite their brilliant performances in the domestic as well as national circuit.

Notably, a lot of eyebrows were raised after the wicketkeeper-batter did not get a chance in the three-match T20I series against New Zealand recently. Stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya was also asked about it, to which he replied, “Sanju Samson is an unfortunate case. We had to play him but for some strategic reason, we couldn’t play him”.

The fans have also raised their voices against these two class players not being picked on continuous basis. While some slammed the BCCI, a few others recalled their achievements and numbers.
