The Detroit Pistons have traded for veteran forward Bojan Bogdanović from the Utah Jazz on Thursday, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania. In return, Utah will receive forward Kelly Olynyk and guard Saben Lee in the deal.

Bogdanovic will be earning a mammoth £17.4m from the final year of his contract. But as Lee and Olynyk won't reach that figure, Utah will also receive an additional salary. Over the years, Bogdanović has been one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA.

He has an impressive 39.2% from beyond the arc and has put up 18.1 points per game last season. Bogdanović has been with the Jazz for the last three seasons after stints with the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers.

After the trade, Bogdanović could be walking into Detroit’s starting five as they continue their rebuild around former No. 1 pick, Cade Cunningham. The Oklahoma State alumni averaged 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists last season and was third in the race for Rookie of the Year.
