McLaren driver Lando Norris has been in fine form this season and has been giving his career-best performances this year. Not only has he clinched three podium finishes already, his latest one came at the Austrian Grand Prix. He has been so amazing recently that even his compatriot and one of the greats Lewis Hamilton, who happens to be from his rival team, complimented him for his driving.

However, Red Bull's Max Verstappen during Norris' post-race interview by the Autosport interjected as the Britisher was reacting to the words of praise by Hamilton.

"Are you? A great driver?," the Dutchman joked.

"Apparently!", Norris responded, to which Verstappen replied, "I didn’t know that man!"

Norris left speechless after Hamilton's complement

However, post the tongue in cheek session, Norris insisted that he is humbled by the seven-time world champion's remark and expressed his gratitude to compete at the top.

"Thanks. I don’t know what to say," Norris stated.

"It wasn’t easy. Both Mercedes were faster in the race, which was no surprise, so I was happy to hold him off for so long. It was the first time I really raced against him and then you really learn how he drives and how he races," he added.
