Team India is preparing hard for their first group stage fixture against arch-rivals Pakistan on 23 October at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The Men in Blue will be hoping to avenge their defeat from the last edition of the tournament. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has selected a strong 15-member squad to represent the team at the showpiece event. Veteran wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik has also earned a place in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2022. 

The 37-year-old put on some impressive performances for his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore and then India to get included in India’s squad. With Karthik in a good form, expectation are high from the wicketkeeper batter. Meanwhile, the Indian cricketer is enjoying his time in Australia. In the process, Karthik shared a couple of pictures of him in the Indian kit and claimed that these pictures depicted the mood of the fans. 

In his first picture, Karthik donned a serious and intense face and said that it depicted the mood of Indian cricket team fans on normal days. In the second picture, Karthik is wearing a cheerful smile and has his both hands in the air. He claimed that the second picture of depicted the mood of the Indian fans when they realize that the World Cup is about to begin. 

Notably, India have played a warm-up match against Australia on Monday (17 October) which the Men in Blue won by six runs. They will now lock horns with New Zealand in the second warm-up fixture scheduled for 19 October. The Rohit Sharma-led team will then open their campaign against Pakistan.
