Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh has donned the cricketer's hat once again. While he has been out of competitive cricket action for a while, he is still plying his trade for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. Prior to Kolkata's season resuming match against Bangalore, Bhajji shared a hilarious video on social media, warning his teammates as well as his opponent team not to try a similar act at home.
In the video, a huge mix-up between a batter and a non-striker results in a run-out in a local match. While the dismissal itself was rib-tickling, it was what followed the run out which made it all the more hilarious. Adam Ladak, who had only played 4 balls till the time of this event, played a shot towards the mid-off region. He straight away ran for a single and was even supported from his partner M Evans. However, Ladak changed his mind soon after seeing the ball had gone straight to the fielder.
This left Evans stranded on the middle of the pitch with nowhere to go. Consequently, he was run out with the throw disturbing the stumps at the non-striker's end. Later, when he was departing to the pavilion, Evans swung his bat and lost his grip as it flew and hit his batting partner. While it could have been a potentially dangerous accident, Ladak evaded a serious injury and it made for a hilarious video. All's well that end's well, you think.

Harbhajan played 3 matches for the team in the first half of the 2021 season. While he couldn't get a wicket to his credit, he was unfortunate to see a few catches getting dropped off his bowling. Playing for a team that has a lot of spinning options, it would be interesting to see if he would get a match in the second half of the competition. A veteran of over 100 Test matches, the 41-year-old has already started looking at a career beyond sports and has ventured into anchoring, acting and cricket punditry.
